In a landmark law suit, alternative news publishers Webseed and Brighteon have accused the DOD, DOJ, DHS, as well as a number of Big Tech giants, including Google, Meta, and X of concerted and combined censorship efforts to prevent vital facts about the COVID pandemic, available treatments, and other potentially life-saving information from reaching the online public.
Asserting that the defendants’ actions were “driven by an ‘anti-competitive animus’ aimed at eliminating alternative viewpoints from the digital public square” the plaintiffs are seeking damages between $25 million and $50 million in lost revenues from advertising and sales, as well as reputation damages caused by being labelled as “purveyors of misinformation.”
Citing numerous high-profile cases of a similar nature, the Webseed/Brighteon suit alleges an extensive and deeply organized collusion between government and Big Tech, to stifle dissent and keep vital facts which run contrary to official narratives, out of the public consciousness.
This legal action is sure to attract wide ranging attention, and to have consequences on both the domestic and international stages.
We’ll keep you posted.
